خلال الأسبوعين الماضيين وعقب تكليفي رئيسا للهيئة الوطنية للوصول الانساني، عقدت سلسلة من الاجتماعات المثمرة مع الفاعلين الإنسانيين سيما الـمبعوثين وكبار المسؤولين لبعض الدول الاروبية و المملكة المتحدة و مكتب المساعدات الإنسانية التابعة للاتحاد الاروبي (ECHO) و المدير القطري لبرنامج الامم المتحدة للطفولة(UNICEF). خلال هذه الاجتماعات، شرحت رؤية حكومة السلام في مخاطبة القضايا الانسانية تبني بعض الحلول المقترحة لمعالجتها ووضع استراتيجيات التعافي والانتقال الي الانعاش التنموي وصولا الي التنمية العادلة والمستدامة. كما وفرت لي هذه النقاشات فرصة للتعرف علي التحديات الانية التي تواجه حركة القوافل الانسانية و اتخاذ جملة من التدابير والإجراءات من اجل تسهيل انسيابها وضمان وصولها للمحتاجين. عززت هذه التدابير الجهود الكبيرة التي قامت وتقوم بها الوحدات والإدارات الفنية المشرفة علي الوصول والتنسيق الإنساني لحكومة السلام مما أسهم في دخول اكثر من 200 قافلة مساعدات تحمل حوالي 11 الف طن متري من مواد غذائية وغير غذائة وادوية منقذة للحياة .
ايضا أشرفت علي تسهيل حركة عدد من القوافل المتجهة الي تابت وكورما وطويله بشمال دارفور وقمت بتنسيق وترتيب كل الإجراءات التأمينية اللازمة لعبور القوافل الانسانية القادمة من مدينة الأبيض والمتجهة الي الدلنج وكادقلي غير ان الجيش ومليشياته قاموا بعرقلة مرورها داخل مناطق سيطرته في كوستي وأم روابة والأبيض امعانا في استخدام التجويع كأحدي أدوات حربه ضد الشعوب السودانية.
حيث قابل شركاءنا الإنسانيين هذه الإجراءات بالترحيب و التقدير الكبيرين ووعد عدد منهم بتوسيع عملياتهم الإنسانية والتنموية في ولايات كردفان ودارفور وإقليمي جبال النوبة/ جنوب كردفان والنيل الأزرق. وعليه اهيب بجميع الشركاء الدوليين بضرورة مضاعفة الجهود وضخ المزيد من التمويل لمجابهة خطر الكارثة الانسانية وتبني قرارات جريئة تحد من آثار العراقيل التي يفرضها الجيش ومليشياته امام حركة القوافل الانسانية.
اخيرا اجدد التزام حكومة السلام والوحدة بوضع كافة التدابير اللازمة لوصول المساعدات الإنسانية وحماية العاملين في الحقل الانساني ومخاطبة قضايا النازحين واللاجئين وتأمين عودتهم الي ديارهم وتقديم الخدمات الأساسية لهم.

Press Statement
Over the past two weeks, following my appointment as Chair of the National Authority for Humanitarian Access, I have held a series of fruitful meetings with humanitarian actors — notably the special envoys and senior officials of several European countries, the United Kingdom, the European Union Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO), and the Country Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
During these meetings, I outlined the Peace Government’s vision for addressing humanitarian issues, adopting some of the proposed solutions, and formulating strategies for recovery and transition toward developmental resilience, ultimately leading to Just and sustainable development.
These discussions also provided me with an opportunity to gain insight into the immediate challenges facing humanitarian convoys and to take a series of measures and actions to facilitate their movement and ensure that aid reaches those in need. These measures have reinforced the substantial efforts undertaken by the technical units responsible for humanitarian access and coordination within the the National Authority for Humanitarian Access. As a result, more than 200 aid convoys carrying approximately 11,000 metric tons of food and non-food items, as well as life-saving medicines, have successfully reached the vulnerable people.
Furthermore, I personally oversaw the facilitation of several convoys heading to Tawila, Korma, and Tabit in North Darfur, and coordinated all necessary security arrangements for the passage of humanitarian convoys traveling from El-Obeid to Dilling and Kadugli. Unfortunately, the SAF and its allied militia obstructed their movement within the areas under their control in Kosti, Um Rawaba, and El-Obeid, in a deliberate attempt to use starvation as a weapon of war against the Sudanese people.
Our humanitarian partners have warmly welcomed and highly commended these measures, and several have expressed their commitment to expand their humanitarian and developmental operations in the Kordofan and Darfur States, as well as in the Nuba Mountains/South Kordofan and Blue Nile Regions.
Accordingly, I urge all international partners to redouble their efforts and provide increased funding to avert the looming humanitarian catastrophe, and to adopt bold decisions that would mitigate the impact of the obstacles imposed by the #SAF on the movement of humanitarian convoys.
Finally, I reaffirm the Peace Government’s unwavering commitment to taking all necessary measures to ensure unhindered humanitarian access, the protection of humanitarian workers, and to addressing the needs of displaced people and refugees, securing their safe return to their homes, and providing them with essential services.
