Today, U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent convened a meeting of the Financial Stability Oversight Council in executive session at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
During the meeting, Council members heard updates from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency on their efforts to enhance their supervisory and regulatory frameworks and to focus bank supervision on material financial risks.
