Had a constructive meeting with Sylvain Astier, Switzerland’s Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa. We discussed the militia violations in Sudan – especially the humanitarian situation in El Fasher – and emphasised the need to cut off arms supplies to end the conflict. We also explored Switzerland’s potential role in Sudan’s post-war reconstruction, particularly in infrastructure.
