Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS)
Press Release
With reference to the statement issued by the Security Council on the situation in Sudan on August 13, 2025, the Sudan founding Alliance (TASIS) would like to emphasize the following:
1.The unity of Sudan and the interest of Sudanese people is a principle that cannot be bargained or compromised, and represents the cornerstone of our political charter and was clearly mentioned in Sudan Transitional constitution 2025.
Our goal to end the war and build a secular democratic state that realizes the values of freedom, justice, peace and equal citizenship is an utmost priority. The declaration of Sudan Peace Government is the guarantor of the safety, stability and unity of Sudan in the face of the separatist measures taken by the Port Sudan apartheid regime that ignited the war and undermined all previous peace initiatives.
2.TASIS is fully committed to achieving a comprehensive peace that addresses the root causes of wars and crisis happened in Sudan. TASIS ensures the participation of all Sudanese components in shaping the future of the country. It emphasizes that negotiation, as stated in all our documents, is the means to end the war, but it will not be a negotiation like the previous rounds of negotiations that were spoiled with and sabotaged by the Muslim Brotherhood/dissolved National Congress party terrorist organization.
3.Civilian protection is a national, moral and legal obligation, and TASIS alliance strictly adheres to international humanitarian law in all its operations, and facilitates the delivery of humanitarian aid to all affected areas without restrictions or obstacles, that is a top priority of Peace Government coming institutions.
4.With regard to the city of El Fasher, several TASIS leadership council members has issued several clear and public appeals calling on civilians to leave the areas of active operations, and TASIS forces opened safe humanitarian corridors for their exit. TASIS forces already evacuated more than 800,000 citizens from the city of El Fasher to several safe areas in compliance with international humanitarian law and out of concern for their lives and safety, despite all trials of Port Sudan apartheid regime & their allies of joined forces to obstruct all that efforts. They declared a curfew to prevent civilians from getting out of the city, taking them as human shields.
5. The legitimacy of Sudan Peace Government stems from the true will of the Sudanese people and from the support of large sectors of Sudanese who, due to the Port Sudan authority, have been deprived of their most basic and constitutional rights, including freedom of movement, access to identity documents, and basic services; health & education services. The whole world witnessed millions of Sudanese coming out to welcome the announcement of Sudan Peace Government, which they see as their salvation from injustice and renew their hopes to restore the path of civil and democratic transition and achieve the goals of the glorious December 2018 revolution in freedom, peace, justice, and equality.
6. We appreciate the Security Council’s commitment to support Sudan and its people in their quest for peace, security and stability, and affirm our readiness to cooperate with the international community in all efforts to end the war and build a Sudan based on the foundations of freedom, peace and justice.
