Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS)
Condemnation of the Targeting of a WFP Relief Convoy by SAF
The Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) condemns in the strongest terms the criminal targeting committed by the Port Sudan group against a WFP humanitarian relief convoy consisting of (16) trucks by a drone flight in the city of Mellit, North Darfur, which resulted in the destruction of a number of trucks that were carrying humanitarian aid, in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Conventions, and deliberate disregard of lives of millions of Sudanese people living under the burden of war and hunger.
This incident is not the first, these terrorists attacked humanitarian convoys on June 3 near the city of Kuma in North Darfur, which confirms the existence of a systematic policy based on depriving civilians of food, medicine and other necessities of a decent life, at the same time where these terrorists and their allies in the so-called “JSAMF/DARFUR” demand the entry of aid to El Fasher.
This clearly Demonstrates that their statements regarding El Fasher are nothing more than an attempt to evade their defeats and to delay the inevitable liberation of the city, while continuing to take civilians as hostages and human shields, despite the efforts of the TASIS’s forces to evacuate civilians to safe zones and provide them with humanitarian aids.
We in the Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) hold these terrorists fully responsible for these crimes, and we call on regional and international organizations and all political and civil forces to condemn them in the strongest terms.
The Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) affirms its firm commitment to protection of civilians and considering humanitarian aid delivery as a moral and legal duty, as stipulated in TASIS political charter and the Transitional Constitution of the Republic of Sudan 2025.
