Sudan Foundation Alliance (TASIS)

Statement of solidarity with the Republic of Chad, the Republic of South Sudan, and the United Arab Emirates

25 March 2025

The Sudan Foundation Alliance (TASIS) expresses its deepest condemnation of the hostile statements issued by Yasser Al Atta, Assistant Commander of the Sudanese Army, which included explicit threats to brotherly and friendly countries, primarily the Republic of Chad, the Republic of South Sudan, the United Arab Emirates and, earlier, the Republic of Kenya, the Republic of Uganda and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

These irresponsible statements do not in any way reflect the will of the Sudanese people, but rather reflect the aggressive approach that the Islamist regime has been following since its seizure of power in Sudan, an approach based on exporting crises, threatening the security and stability of countries and the region, and felling conflicts instead of building relations based on mutual respect and cooperation.

The Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) condemns in the strongest terms these desperate attempts to antagonize neighboring countries, which have hosted thousands of Sudanese fleeing the war ignited by the Islamists and their elements within the hijacked Sudanese army.

The Coalition affirms that the new Sudan it seeks to establish will not be a springboard for projects of chaos and sabotage, but rather seeks to establish and build a state based on the values of peace, openness, and positive communication between peoples. Since coming to power in 1989, the Islamist regime in Sudan has sought to sow seeds of discord, support extremist terrorist movements, and build militias to destabilize neighboring countries. Today, in light of the war that has devastated Sudan, the remnants of this regime continue to practice the same aggressive approach, seeking to drag Sudan into further isolation and destruction.

The Sudan Foundation Alliance (TASIS) expresses its full solidarity with the Republic of Chad, the Republic of South Sudan and the United Arab Emirates in the face of these irresponsible statements, and calls on the international community, especially the African Union, the United Nations and regional and international partners to take a firm stance against these threats that jeopardize regional and international peace and security.

The coalition emphasizes that the only way out of Sudan’s crisis is to defeat this terrorist Islamist regime and build a modern secular federal civil state that respects international conventions and establishes its relationship with the world on the basis of respect, peace and development.

The Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS) calls on all living national forces and all Sudanese who reject this aggressive approach to join ranks in order to build a new Sudan worthy of its ancient history and place among the nations. Sudan will not be a hotbed of chaos, hatred and terrorism, but rather a homeland that accommodates all, and a factor of stability and peace in its regional and international surroundings.

Sudan Founding Alliance (TASIS).
Sudan.
